Toyota Recalls Nearly 500K Vehicles Due To Power Steering Problems

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Toyota announced a major recall Wednesday morning involving nearly 500,000 vehicles.

The recall includes the 2004 Avalon, 2004 and 2005 Camry, 2006 Highlander HV and Sienna, along with the 2004 and 2005 Lexus ES330 and RX330, and 2006 RX400h.

Toyota says power steering problems could make it difficult to steer.

The company is working to gather replacement parts to perform the recall service. Customers will be notified when the parts are available.

The recall is expected to begin in January.

No accidents or injuries have been reported.
