Capital Seafood Brings Traditional Dim Sum & Chinese Cuisine to Irvine Spectrum

Last week the sound of gongs and drums along with a traditional Chinese Lion Dance performance welcomed guests for the Grand Opening Party of Capital Seafood at the Irvine Spectrum. Officialy open on October 31, Capital Seafood is a well-known Chinese dim sum and seafood restaurant in Irvine, CA. This is their second Irvine restaurant with the first located in the Diamond Jamboree Plaza.

Situated next to Nordstrom's, this second location is a beautiful venue decorated with Chinese fixtures and modern artwork. It features private dining rooms perfect for special events and meetings, a spacious outdoor patio, multiple TV screens, large glass windows to see right into the kitchen and a full bar with a wide selection of beers on tap, sake, wine and specialty drinks.

Capital's daily dim sum is served until 3pm daily and is priced from $2-$6 for each small plate. They have a wide variety of dim sum dishes such as Shiu Mai, Shrimp Har Gow, Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Soup Dumplings and Egg Custard. They are also known for their Peking Duck, House Special Lobster and Honey-Glazed Walnut Shrimp available on their dinner menu.

Serving lunch and dinner daily, Capital is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant can be reached at (949) 788-9218 or www.capital-seafood.com. In addition to Capital Seafood, Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill recently opened at the Irvine Spectrum. Wood Ranch is known for their flavorful ribs and barbeque. That location also has a full bar and Happy Hour specials during the week. Opening later this year are Paul Martin's American Grill and CUCINA Enoteca.
