Former Bell City Manager Sues City Over Salary, Benefits

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Former Bell city manager Robert Rizzo filed a lawsuit Monday, claiming his contract was breached.

The lawsuit states that he is entitled to his nearly $1.5 million yearly salary and benefits package.

Rizzo and seven other Bell city officials have been charged with fraud and misappropriation of public money.

Rizzo claims he is owed the money, plus interest, because he didn't resign, and he hasn't been convicted of a felony, according to court documents.
