LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Gilani Taylor, the 27-year-old mom and aspiring singer who was involved in a fiery crash on the 101 on October 1 that claimed the life of her 9-year-old daughter, has also succumbed to her injuries, according to family.

Taylor was driving in Calabasas on the southbound 101 about 8:30 a.m. when she lost control of her 1995 Chrysler.

The car reportedly crashed into the center divider, hit a tanker truck, overturned and then burst into flames.

Good Samaritans were able to pull Taylor out of the vehicle but she was burned over 80 percent of her body.

She reportedly died 5:25 p.m. Friday at County-USC Medical Center.

Taylor’s 9-year-old, Jayla, was trapped in the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.

“she wanted to be with her daughter”….LOL…talk about being religiously brainwashed. There are no angles, heaven, nor hell. All bibles and this “God” character were created FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of helping humans cope with death and tragedy. Case in point: This story.

      1. UCLA1 Needs to Pipe Down says:

@ UCLA1 – What difference does it make to YOU that Hollywood Saint or anyone else in this world want to believe in a God or the Bible or angels or heaven? It makes NO difference, so lay off, you arrogant, ignorant SOB. Whatever a person needs to do, think, or say in order to make it through each day in this dreary world, so be it! Who are you to judge someone else?! And, NO, you are NOT more important than everyone else.

Welcome to planet Earth where life is not fare and ANYONE has the right to judge WHOEVER they want 🙂

This is such a sad story. I heard about it on the news when it first happened. A terrible tragedy. The Drs said she wouldn’t make it but her husband believed she would. After many days went by, I thought she would make it. But sadly, I heard on the news that she passed. Deepest sympathy to her family on this terrble loss of 2 young lives. Rest in peace.
