KFWB On Your Corner: Arroyo Seco Parkway

(KFWB NEWS TALK 980) — If you've lived in Southern California for any amount of time, chances are you've driven on a historic part of highway that was conceived to be the first "high-speed" byway in the L.A. area.

It's the 8-mile-plus stretch that begins on Colorado Boulevard to the north and ends at the 4-level interchange in downtown L.A.

KFWB 980's Phil Hulett spoke to Nicole Possert, the Byway leader for the Arroyo Seco Parkway, National Scenic Byway, to look back to 1938 when they broke ground on this project.
