3 Dead, 4 Injured After Boat Collides With Sea-Doo Jet Ski In San Dimas

SAN DIMAS (CBS) — A collision between a boat and a sea-doo water craft Saturday afternoon left three people dead and four injured, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at Puddingstone Reservoir at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas around 4:30 p.m.

The three deceased, all females riding the sea-doo, were declared dead at the scene.

(UPDATE: 8:30 p.m.): Late Sunday, the Coroner identified the three deceased women as Aurora Yeso, 53; Anesia Bautista, 47 and Maricon Abello, 34. Investigators have also determined that the driver of the 21-foot boat was not intoxicated. It is still not known if the woman piloting the sea-doo was intoxicated.

The four occupants of the boat -- three males and one female -- were reportedly taken to area hospitals with moderate to minor injuries.

Homicide detectives, working in conjunction with an Accident Recreation Specialist from the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation, will attempt to recreate the accident to determine the cause.
