Popular Hawaii Entertainer Accused Of Sex Crimes Against Underage California Girls
HONOLULU (AP) — A new court date has been scheduled for a popular Hawaii entertainer arrested in California for alleged sex crimes against two girls in the 1990s.
Cecilio Rodriguez appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday, where a judge set a new court date for Nov. 16.
The 66-year-old Rodriguez, well-known in Hawaii for being part of the musical duo Cecilio & Kapono, was arrested last month in California. He is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.
Rodriguez pleaded not guilty earlier this month and remains free on $200,000 bail.
