OC Baby Girl Taken By Parents In Violation Of Court Order Found Safe

ALISO VIEJO (AP) — Authorities say a 15-month-old baby girl who is believed to have been taken from Orange County by her parents in violation of a court order has been found in Colorado.

Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Steve Doan said Saturday that Skye MacCleverty was found safe in a motel room in a Denver suburb with the child's mother, 24-year-old Shawn Elizabeth Brady. The child was taken into protective custody.

The girl's grandparents, who had temporary custody, reported her missing early Friday from their home in Aliso Viejo.

Doan says it was suspected the child's parents fled to Colorado because they had previously lived there.

No charges have been filed against Brady.

Authorities have not yet located the girl's father, 23-year-old Brendan Thomas MacCleverty.
