UPDATE (9:27 p.m.): The home that is burning in the Hollywood Hills may belong to actor Jack Nicholson but he is not believed to have lived at the property for years.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CBS) — Firefighters battled a smoky house fire Friday night in the Hollywood Hills area of the Cahuenga Pass.

The fire, in a house at 7327 Woodrow Wilson Drive, looked to be contained to one area of the home, possibly the garage area.

But firefighters were worried the fire could spread to nearby brush.

Stu Mundel, reporting from Sky9, said it was unclear if the home was occupied or being renovated but that firefighters would knock the fire down to only see it flare up again quickly.

Two firefighters were reportedly overcome with heat exhaustion fighting the blase.
