Public Asked To Help Find Sex Offender

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Authorities are asking for the public's help to locate a sex offender who has eluded his parole officer.

Manuel Rodriguez, 47, was last seen Saturday after walking away from a parole home on North Bonnie Beach Place in East Los Angeles, according to Sheriff's officials.

Rodriguez reportedly has failed to charge his ankle monitoring bracelet, equipped with GPS.

He is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Officials say he could be in the El Monte area.

Rodriguez was first arrested for suspicion of indecent exposure in a park. He is now wanted for being a parolee at laege.

Anyone with information about his possible whereabouts is asked to call 911, their local police department or Sheriff's Det. Anthony Camargo at the East Los Angeles Station at (323) 264-4151. Tips can be made anonymously.
