The murals are painted on fabric and are replicas of iconic freeway murals painted on the sides of the freeway in the 1980s. The murals  include Sportelli's "Tony Curtis," Ruben Soto's "I Know Who I Am," Romero's "Going to the Olympics," and John Werlee's " Galileo, Jupiter and Apollo."

City officials say weather, time and graffiti took their toll on the originals.
