Actress, Cover Model Estella Warren Pleads No Contest To DUI Charge

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Estella Warren, the "Planet of the Apes" actress and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, pleaded no contest Friday to a misdemeanor DUI charge stemming from her arrest in May.

Warren, who didn't attend the hearing, was sentenced to five years probation. She was also ordered to complete 120 days in a residential substance abuse facility and to pay a $390 fine.

More restitution will reportedly be decided at another hearing in October, according to Frank Mateljan of the City Attorney's Office.

Warren faced three more misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer but those charges were dropped.

The 40-year-old actress/model was arrested just after midnight on May 24th about an hour after she was stopped on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 600 block of North Harper Avenue in West Hollywood.

Police said she crashed her Prius into three parked cars and then resisted arrest. While being booked at the Wilshire station, she was able to slip out of her handcuffs and escape. She was caught a short time after.

Warren's other credits include the film "Kangaroo Jack" and the TV shows "That '70s Show" and "Law & Order."
