'Gun Hill Road' Director Opens Up About His New Movie On KCAL 9

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Esai Morales, actor and producer of the new film, "Gun Hill Road," visited KCAL 9 studios Wednesday.

The movie, which hits theaters Aug. 12, is about a family that finds itself at a crossroads. "Gun Hill Road" deals with the struggles of an affair, teenage sexuality and family stability.

The film also stars Judy Reyes and newcomer Harmony Santana.

"Gun Hill Road" premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and was recently screened as part of the ImageNation Cinema Foundation and the Film Society of Lincoln Center. It will also be shown on opening night of Outfest Film Festival 2011.
