CANOGA PARK (CBS) — Los Angeles police announced Tuesday the arrest of a fatal hit and run suspect that killed a teenaged bicyclist.

Dominique Rush, 23, was arrested the LAPD early Tuesday morning in Oxnard for Gross Vehicular Manslaughter and Felony Hit and Run, according to officials.

Police alleged Rush was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla when she fatally hit German Alex Romero who was riding his bike on De Soto Avenue in Canoga Park on April 20, 2011. Romero, 17, was a senior at Chatsworth High School at the time of his death.

Rush's father, Steven Rush, 44, was also arrested Tuesday in Porter Ranch, police said. Rush is accused of helping his daughter conceal the crime after the fact. His bail has been set at $20,000.

Dominique Rush is being held on a $100,000 bail.
