Man Pleads Guilty To LAX Stowaway Charge
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Nigerian man accused of breaching layers of security by using an expired boarding pass with someone else's name to get aboard a cross-country flight has pleaded guilty to a stowaway charge in Los Angeles.
Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi, 24, is charged with using an expired boarding pass in June to take a Virgin America flight from New York to Los Angeles.
Police arrested Noibi on June 29 at LAX after he made it past a security checkpoint with an expired boarding pass issued to another passenger.
He faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 28.
