LA Music Festival Sees 17 Arrests, 31 Medical Calls

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — Police say they arrested 17 people and firefighters say they treated 31 at an overnight music festival at Los Angeles State Historic Park near Chinatown.

Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says two dozen firefighters were on duty in the crowd at Saturday's 12-hour Hard Summer Music Festival, which featured electro and alternative rock acts on multiple stages.

Of the 31 people who needed emergency treatment, 16 were taken to hospitals. Humphrey didn't have information about individual illness or injury, but said none was life-threatening.

Police Officer Rosario Herrera says 17 people were arrested during the concert, 16 for felony narcotics and one for robbery.
