Trial To Determine Dodger Ownership Postponed
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The battle over who owns the Dodgers remains in limbo after a judge put an ownership hearing on hold Thursday.
A one day "characterization" trial was set to begin Thursday to decide whether Jamie McCourt owns part of the Los Angeles Dodgers, or it is solely belongs to Frank McCourt. But since the team is in bankruptcy and its TV rights deal with FOX fell through, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon put the ownership decision in infinite hold.

Gordon also rescheduled a hearing on whether to reduce Frank McCourt's $225,000 monthly support payment to his ex-wife. The hearing will take place on Sept. 14.
Attorneys say it could be months, even a year, before the Dodgers' ownership issue is settled.
