The 68-year-old woman was pushing a walker when a man wearing a white shirt and ball cap snuck up from behind and grabbed her around the throat.

The man ran off with the victim's gold chain and jade pendant, worth about $100.

"This is shocking to watch, especially when you consider this woman is legally blind," said Los Angeles police Lt. Paul Vernon.

Anyone knowing more about the crime was urged to call police detectives at (213) 972-1251, or Crimestoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
