Woman Reportedly Sexually Assaulted In Studio City Alley

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman in Studio City Friday.

Police say the victim, in her 50s, was on her way home when a man grabbed her from behind.

The man allegedly put a knife to the woman's throat, threw her to the ground and raped her.

The attack occurred at about 11 p.m. in an alley behind the Big 5 store north of Ventura Boulevard, between Laurel Canyon and Radford Avenue.

The suspects is described as a black male between 5 feet 4 inches and 6 feet tall, 130 to 170 pounds and 40 to 45-years-old. He has a dark complexion with a tattoo on his right forearm and wears a wedding band.
