The video led detectives to arrest a 17-year-old they say was behind a smash-and-grab robbery in downtown Los Angeles.
According to authorities, the suspect used a hammer to get into Guadalajara Jewelry Plaza on Broadway last week with three others and stole gold chains.
Police tell us six similar robberies have occurred in the area since June 21, none of which they believe involve the same suspects.
So far, authorities have made nine arrests in three of those cases.
