Dodgers Fall 13.5 Back Of Giants After 5-0 Loss

(CBS) -- Ryan Vogelsong (7-1) continued his magical 2011 campaign with another dominating performance, beating  Chad Billingsley (8-8) and the Dodgers 5-0.

Just four days before his 34th birthday, Vogelsong went 6.2  innings, lowering his ERA to an impressive 2.02, tops in the National League.

The 35th sellout crowd of the season saw the Giants get on the scoreboard in the fourth inning, courtesy of Pablo Sandoval's ninth homer of the season.

San Francisco opened things up in the sixth, scoring four times, chasing Billingsley for his shortest outing since he won against the Tigers back on June 21st.

Los Angeles'  lone highlight  was once again supplied by MVP candidate Matt Kemp -- in the fifth inning -- Kemp flagged down a fly ball off the bat of Andres Torres before smashing into the wall.

The Dodgers have now lost three straight and fall 13.5 games behind the Giants.
