Man Drowns While Swimming In San Gabriel River

SOUTH EL MONTE (CBS) — A man drowned while swimming in the San Gabriel River Sunday afternoon, officials reported.

Fire crews received a call just before 3 p.m. of two people swimming in the river near Santa Anita Avenue in South El Monte.

When crews arrived they found one man had drowned and the other man survived.
