Deputies Bust Pot Growing Operation In Pearblossom

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 30-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly growing illegal marijuana plants in Pearblossom.

The suspect, identified by authorities as Cody Downs, was booked at the Palmdale Sheriff Station after deputies on patrol found about 100 marijuana plants Friday in the 32000 block of Delbana Avenue, a press release issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department stated.

According to authorities, the building housing the plants had water filtration and ventilation systems, as well as, lights.

Bail for Downs has been set at $100,000.
