LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old boy from India who disappeared during a trip to Los Angeles.

Lovedeep Singh, who was part of a tour group, was last seen near the Radisson Hotel in Exposition Park near USC on June 23 at 8:30 a.m.

In a news conference Thursday, Los Angeles police said they had no solid leads as to Singh’s whereabouts.

Investigators say it’s unclear how he became separated from his travel group, but foul play is not suspected.

Singh, who is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 130 pounds, was wearing a gray shirt, tan pants and carrying a red backpack. He has one of his ears pierced and wears a diamond earring.

Anyone with information is asked to call the LAPD at (213) 485-2582 or 1(877) LAPD-247.

Oh yeah… we’ll be able to pick HIM out of a crowd…

I am sorry he is missing and hope he is found. Would it be racial profiling if the police only looked for people of Indian descent when they were trying to find him? Maybe they should randomly stop white grandmothers and asian babies just to make sure it isn’t him.

Indians are coming up with some very nice names for themselfs.

    Lovedeep you have lovely parents.

  4. Hope says:

How long has he been missing? Did I miss it?

I hope he is found soon. . . that is a really bad area.

    “foul play is not suspected.”

so does this mean they think he was maybe picked-up by maybe some family already living here? perhaps a friend of the family? I know it’s a touchy subject for most…but him being here illegally is better than him being kidnapped by some “pervert” or “gang memeber” or some “psychopath” right?

So if this was planned and it was an attempt at getting him here in the U.S. to escape India…perhaps this is a new way to escape into the U.S.?

You are able to visit here… as a part of a travel group… then you duck out at some point… lots of cash in your pocket… and you melt into the boiling cesspool that is the illegal alien culture which is the norm in Los Angeles.
