2 Arrested After Bizarre NoHo Barricade Situation

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Police have arrested a man and woman after a noise disturbance call turned into a barricade situation in a North Hollywood apartment building, according to authorities.

Police responded to the noise complaint around 12:30 Saturday morning and the male suspect -- who was described as "belligerent and uncooperative" eventually turned his music down.

Officials then said after police left, the man allegedly went out onto the street and began shooting out car windows with a BB gun before running back into his apartment located in the 5300 block of North Radford. Police said the suspect also threatened an eyewitness with the BB gun.

Police were dispatched to scene about 9 a.m. Saturday and reached by phone, the man said he had guns but wasn't coming out.

Neighbors were evacuated from his and surrounding buildings.

The man was reportedly taken into custody just before noon. No said a female suspect, who was also described as belligerent and uncooperative, was also arrested.
