Suspects Rob Jewelry Store, Fire At Guard At Century City Mall
CENTURY CITY (CBS) — Robbers took at least two diamonds from a jewelry store at the Century City mall Wednesday and fired at a security guard who chased them, police said.
The crime at the Westfield Century City mall occurred about 12:20 p.m., with the two suspects fleeing in a tan or beige Chrysler 300 on Santa Monica Boulevard, according to police.
No one was wounded in the shooting, police said.
Both suspects were described as black, one of them with his hair in cornrows and carrying a dark-colored backpack.
