Missing Santa Clarita Woman Found Dead, Husband Still Missing

SANTA CLARITA (CBS) — The search continues for a missing Santa Clarita man after his wife's body was found last week.

The body of 59-year-old Renata Klein was in the Angeles National Forest by public works employees Wednesday. A coroner's spokesperson said Klein's body appeared to have been dumped there.

Investigators continue to search for the victim's husband, 59-year-old Dusan Klein, and the couple's black-and-white cocker spaniel.

The couple was last seen June 11, when they left their home in a gold-colored 1999 Jeep Cherokee with California license 4FLN519, according to detectives.

The coroner's office has not released any information on the cause of death of Renata Klein.

A Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said detectives had no evidence Dusan Klein committed a crime.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact sheriff's Detective Diane Harris at (323) 890-5500.
