2-Fur-1 Cat Adoption Begins Saturday

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Looking to bring home a little kitty? How about two?

A two-fur, uh...for, one deal starts Saturday at selected animal shelters throughout Los Angeles county.

Thousands of newborn kittens will join their older feline counterparts for what shelters usually call "kitten season."

To help boost the number of adoptions, participating shelters (there are 16 in all) are reducing or waiving various adoption fees.

Want one cat? Take home two for the same price. The Found Animals Foundation pays for the second fee.

All kittens and cats have been spayed or neutered. (Bob Barker would be so pleased!) The little critters have also been vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Fees vary from location to location.

The participating shelters are listed as follows:

• Agoura Animal Shelter, 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills

• Antelope Valley Adoption Center, 42116 Fourth St. East, Lancaster

• Baldwin Park Animal Shelter, 4275 N. Elton St.
