Search Called Off For Possible Gunman Downtown

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Sheriff's officials have called off a search for a possible gunman near Los Angeles Trade-Tech College near downtown.

Deputies said the search was called off about 2:20 p.m. Monday. No gunman was located.

According to authorities, a person flagged down a transit officer in the area and reported seeing a man with a gun.

Sgt. Michael Thomas with the LA County Sheriff's Department said authorities searched on and around the campus, as well as a parking structure in the area.
