SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for killing an 18-year-old Victorville woman in a hit-and-run accident in January.

The Los Angeles Police Department is looking for the driver of an extended-cab Ford pickup truck that killed
Sharniece Jeter, 18, of Victorville, back in January as she crossed Figueroa Street, near 66th Street at 10:30 p.m..

The suspect vehicle, a beige or gray Ford F-150 or F-250 pickup with tinted windows, was going north on Figueroa when it struck the woman, witnesses told police. The driver was described only as Hispanic man with a beard.

Why was this important suspect info left out of your TV-broadcast, CBS?
Our hearts go out to the victim’s family, who probably will learn someday the killer was in our country illegally like so many of our city’s hit-and-run criminals. A tragedy that NEVER should have happened. Shame on CBS once again for censoring the news!

Wow, as of late, there seems to be more occurrences of crime and violence in Los Angeles – a mother killing her husband and shooting her son on Mother’s day – bodies being dumped on freeways – children being kiddnapped from their home – a baseball fan being beaten at a game – what’s wrong with people? A persons can’t even cross the street without being killed – I hope they find this creep before he destroys someone else’s life – my prayers and thoughts are with the family
