True Food Kitchen To Open May 9 In Santa Monica

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — "True Food" is coming to California.

True Food Kitchen is already open at Fashion Island in Newport Beach and a new location in the Santa Monica Place mall will open May 9.

TFK offers a seasonal, globally inspired menu. Guests can enjoy dishes like Tuscan Kale Salad, Lemon, Parmesan, Bread Crumb; Steak Tacos with Avocado, Cotija Cheese, Anasazi Bean and Tomatillo Salsa; and Spaghetti Squash Casserole, Fresh Mozzarella, Organic Tomato, and Zucchini.

Lunch plates range in price from $6-17, dinner dishes run between $6-25.

Chef Michael Stebner visited the KCAL 9 studios Thursday to talk about the new restaurant.
