Suspect Prowler Wounded In DIS
FLORENCE (CBS) — A suspect running from sheriff's deputies in the unincorporated Florence area was wounded when he pointed a handgun at lawmen as he tried.
Deputies responded to a prowler call at 8:37 a.m. to the 9200 block of Zamora Avenue, near 92nd Street and Compton Avenue, said Lt. Dave Dolson of the sheriff's Homicide Bureau.
The suspect then ran into a garage and a special weapons team was called, Dolson said. The suspect was taken into custody at 12:50 p.m.
He was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition. No deputies were injured.
