USC Fraternities And Sororities Placed On Social Probation Following Recent Events

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Officials at the University of Southern California have placed the entire Greek community on social probation, citing recent events within the Greek system.

According to ATVN, USC's news station, the university is enforcing a social ban which restricts Tuesday and Thursday night parties and fraternity and sorority socials and dinners.

Officials are allowing registered Greek parties on Friday and Saturday nights.

ATVN reports the university has put together a task force to enforce the probation for the spring semester. Officials want to keep a close eye on issues including hazing, underage drinking and university safety.
