2 Hurt In Deputy-Involved Shooting Near Pasadena

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say an off-duty Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy has shot and wounded two people in an unincorporated area near Pasadena.

Sgt. Michael Thomas said Sunday that the two men were hospitalized and arrested after being shot early Saturday.

Thomas says investigators have released few details about the shootings, including why the deputy opened fire, the nature of the injuries and why the men were arrested.

City News Service reports the off-duty deputy was assigned to the sheriff's Temple Station.
