It's Not A Quack! Audition To Voice Aflac Duck

NEW YORK (AP) — If you quack along with the Aflac duck every time you hear their commercials, you could make it pay off.

Aflac is opening auditions to anyone who can prove they should be the new voice of the Aflac duck. Aflac starts accepting submissions Wednesday as they look for someone to replace Gilbert Gottfried, who was
fired last week because he made insensitive remarks on Twitter about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Rather than hire another celebrity voice right away, Aflac decided to see if there's someone from the general public who might have a worthy quack. Anyone interested will be able to submit a 30-second audio or video file with their best version of the Aflac duck's signature "Aflac" squawk at www.quackaflac.com.

The company also wants to hear interpretations of the character that may be different from Gottfried's.
