Lohan Dad Arrested In WeHo On Domestic Violence Charges

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — The father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested in West Hollywood for allegedly holding his girlfriend against her will and causing minor injuries, sheriff's deputies said Tuesday.

Sheriff's deputies received a domestic violence call and found 50-year-old Michael Lohan about 9 p.m. Monday walking in the 8800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, near San Vicente Boulevard, Sgt. John Ratto of the sheriff's West Hollywood Station said.

Lohan was booked on suspicion of preventing report of victimization, false imprisonment and inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant, Ratto said.

Bail was set at $200,000.

Lohan was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after complaining of a medical condition unrelated to the arrest, authorities said.

The girlfriend's name was withheld and she declined medical treatment from Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, Ratto said.

People Magazine reported that Lohan, who has had past run-ins with the law and has previously done time behind bars, appears not to have been on probation at the time of arrest.

In a bid to treat anger management issues, Lohan is a participant in VH1's upcoming season of "Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab."
