Casey Blake Likely To Miss Opening Night

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Dodgers third baseman Casey Blake might not be ready for opening day because of a slow recovery from a rib injury.

Blake said Monday he is not ready to play and Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly says the chances of Blake being ready for opening day are dwindling.

Juan Uribe, projected as the starting second baseman, would move to third and Jamey Carroll would start at second base.

The Dodgers split-squad game at home against Oakland was rained out.
