Chrysler Recalls 250K Vehicles Due To Key Problem
DETROIT (CBS) — Chrysler Group LLC recalled more that 248,000 crossover minivans and wagons, citing a defect that could cause the engine to shut off.
The company says a flaw could allow the key to slip while driving, causing the engine to shut down. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says two rear-end accidents may have occurred as a result.
Chrysler is recalling the 2010 Dodge Journey crossover and the Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans.
The automaker says only about three percent of the recalled vehicles have the key problem.
