LA Homicide, Robbery Suspect Arrested In Arizona

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Tempe police say they have arrested a homicide suspect wanted by Los Angeles police.

Tempe police arrested 27-year-old Daryl Anthony Sconiers last Thursday during a traffic stop. LA police were looking for Sconiers in connection with a home invasion robbery and homicide on March 26, 2009.

Los Angeles police say a 31-year-old Brian Thomas Caufield was found handcuffed and shot multiple times.

Tempe police say Sconiers was booked into Tempe City Jail on a charge of possession of stolen credit cards that were located during the traffic stop.

The investigation continued and determined Sconiers was wanted in Los Angeles.

Sconiers was rebooked on the outstanding homicide warrant stemming from the incident that occurred in Los Angeles.
