Williams, Moon Overjoyed To Join Clippers In Trade
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Not even an unusual Los Angeles rainstorm could dampen the spirits of Mo Williams and Jamario Moon on their first full day with the Clippers.
Williams and Moon were overjoyed to join their new team Friday, one day after the woeful Cleveland Cavaliers traded them for point guard Baron Davis.
They're both hoping to play against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, but coach Vinny Del Negro says it's more likely they'll make their debut Monday night at Sacramento.
Williams says he can't wait to throw alley-oops to rookie star Blake Griffin. The point guard believes he'll complement Griffin even better than he meshed with LeBron James, whose departure sent the Cavs plummeting to the bottom of the NBA this season.
