LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say a man who hoped to buy an iPhone from a stranger he met through Craigslist was instead robbed at gunpoint.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Martinez says the man arranged via the classifieds web site to pay $500 for the phone.

He met the seller behind a Carl’s Jr. Restaurant in unincorporated Temple City Saturday afternoon.

Martinez says upon meeting, the seller pulled out a semiautomatic pistol, took the victim’s cash and fled on foot.

The Los Angeles Times says the victim provided a description of the suspect to investigators.

No arrests have been made.

CL is the last ofthe Mohicans.A free publication, for the people and by the people. It is exactly for this reason why we are hearing about this in western propoganda.CL handles literally millions of transactions on a daily basis. It enriches and de-slaves American citizens daily and annually, for decades.Long live Craig and his theme.I have gotten an employer, landlord, and girlfriend for free on this beloved site. That is what western media cannot handle. They will not stop until Craig himself is literally dead! Mark my words!!

If you agree to meet behind a Carls Jr….or behind any other place for that matter, ten you deserve to get robbed. Anybody in their right mind would conduct a transaction with that much cash out in the open where there will be several people around. What a Freaking idiot.

To answer the poster above why Cops can’t trace the Craigslist Robber is coz he’s using a Stolen fone to post the Ad and arranged the meeting.

This is 2011, not 1998. If you buy something from CL and get robbed, IT’S ON YOU!! I have bought and sold so many things on CL, it’s ridiculous. I can’t imagine CL not being there. But to meet someone behind a Carl’s Jr and get robbed? hahah that’s just really funny… whatta maroon

IF I buy anything from anyone on this list it is ALWAYS at the local PD that I agree to meet. FUNNY, NO-one has ever wanted to continue the sale of any item. GEE, I wonder why!!! WMPD to the rescue again — many times. I’m still looking for the item that I originally posted about but there has never been one individuaql that would agree to meet me at the WMPD. Too bad, I was willing to pay up to $75.00 for the item. Guess it will not happen for a while.

You really make it seem really easy with your presentation however I find this matter to be actually one thing which I believe I would never understand. It sort of feels too complicated and extremely huge for me. I’m having a look ahead on your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
