Downtown LA Ready To Party With NBA All-Stars

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — NBA flash meets Hollywood glitz this week as the teams, players and their accompanying entourages converge on downtown Los Angeles.

Starting Thursday, parties and clubs will be putting out the red carpet for celebrities and NBA players alike in honor of NBA All-Star Weekend.

Here's a quick round-up on where to get the pre-party started:

THURSDAY, Feb. 17

The 5th Quarter at Exchange LA: A portion of the proceeds will go to After School All-Stars. Pre-sale tickets start at $35 and a 10-person VIP table will cost you a cool $3 grand. 618 S. Spring St.

Big Hutch Black Out at Cicada: Shawna Pat headlines this event, which will include a bikini competition to be the "Top Black Out Girl." Early bird tickets are sold out, but pre-sale tickets start at $30. 617 S. Olive St.

FRIDAY, Feb. 18

Plies Live at Club 740: Models Jae Michelle and Cashmere host, rapper Plies headlines, Mann will perform "Buzzin." Tickets start at $50. 753 S. Spring St.

Nicki Menaj & Rick Ross at Exchange LA: DJ Biz Markie also headlines this event. Tickets start at $100 and go up all the way to $20,000 for the "Playa's Suite," which includes 30 tickets, 10 bottles of Moet and five bottles of Ciroc. 618 S. Spring St.

Purp and Yellow at J Lounge: The Los Angeles Lakers' own Matt Barnes hosts "The Official Purp & Yellow All Star Party." 1119 S. Olive St.

J.R. Smith at Vertigo's: Denver Nuggest guard J.R. Smith will host the All-Star kickoff at Vertigo's with music by dj mike smoove and dj ktone. 801 W. Temple St.

Players Ball After Hours at Union Station: Nicki Minaj & Rick Ross headline this afterhours party. Pre-sale tickets start at $40. 800 N. Alameda St.

SATURDAY, Feb. 19

1000 Bottles, 1000 Models at The Palm: Former UCLA guard and current Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is the scheduled guest of honor. Guests receive a bottle of Moet on admission, which starts at $75. 1100 S. Flower St.

Grind All-Star Jam at Bonaventure Brewing Co.: Toronto Raptors' guard and former USC player Demar Derozan is the special guest at this event, which benefits The Grind Youth Basketball Summer Camp in Compton. 404 S. Figueroa St.

City of Angels VIP at L.A. Athletic Club: The Lakers own Matt Barnes, model Claudia Jordan and 102.3 KJLH's Nautica De La Cruz hosts this event. 431 W. 7th St.

After Hours at Union Station: Trina performs at this event and tickets start at $100. 800 N. Alameda St.

SUNDAY Feb. 20

Secret Password Party at LoftSeven: This party takes over a $20 million penthouse. Tickets start at $99. The rooftop Jacuzzi can be rented for just $6,000. 219 W. Seventh St.

Grand Finale at Exchange LA: Of course, Diddy had to be part of NBA All-Star Weekend. Tickets for his event start at $100 and, as always, a "Playa's Suite" is available for $20,000. 618 S. Spring St.

Close Out Party at Club 740: Chris Brown and DJ Biz Markie hosts the "All-Star Weekend Closeout Party." Tickets start at $111. 735 S. Spring St.
