Man Dies After Being Struck By OC Metrolink Train

TUSTIN (AP) — Authorities say a man has died after being struck by a commuter train in Orange County.

Fire Authority Capt. Greg McKeown says the man walked onto the Metrolink tracks Friday evening in Tustin.

His body was discovered on the tracks by responding officers.

The victim has not been identified.

City News Service says Metrolink and Amtrak service was halted between Santa Ana and Tustin to allow investigators to go over the scene.

Shuttle buses were called to ferry stranded passengers between stops.

Tustin police briefly closed Redhill Avenue in both directions at the train tracks.
