A Peek Into Jim Henson's Diary

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The name Jim Henson is synonymous with creative genius.

Henson, of course, was the man behind the Muppets. His characters and creations have charmed, delighted and entertained — and educated — children for generations.

Tonight, Sandra Mitchell explores that creative genius up close and personal as she gets to peer into his private thoughts and dreams via his diaries, a document of his daily life for 23 years, called The Red Book.

He might be gone nearly 20 years, but through his thoughts and ideas the world of Jim Henson is still spinning.
