On Valentine's Day, Everything Doesn't Have To Come Up Roses

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A little Valentine's Day Poem For You:

Roses are red,
And they're mighty nice,
But at this time of year,
Have you noticed their freaking price!?!

Egads! A dozen long stemmed roses can break the bank...so there have to be other alternatives to roses on Valentine's Day, yes?

Yes! Florist Mark Held, of Mark's Garden, was an in-studio guest on the KCAL 9 News at 2 p.m. Thursday to talk about Valentine's Day, alternatives to roses and how to find affordable arrangements that still say "I love you."

Besides, according to Held...not only do some women not like roses, they don't usually last as long as other flowers!
