La Quinta Teacher Arrested For Sex With Student
LA QUINTA (CBS) — A La Quinta High School teacher was arrested Monday for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old female student.
David Armenta, 30, of Indio, was booked on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor, Indio Police Department spokesman Ben Guitron said.
Indio police were notified Friday that the alleged sexual activity had occurred, and an investigation led to Armenta's arrest at his home in the 47400 block of Bahama Court, Guitron said.
Armenta was released from jail after posting a $5,000 bail bond.
