Investigation Involving Body Of Nearly-Naked Man Dumped At High School Continues

COSTA MESA (CBS) —  Costa Mesa police are investigating the death of a 25-year-old Mission Viejo man whose body appears to have been dumped in the parking lot of Estancia High School.

Justin Daniel Wilson was found in the school's parking lot at 2323 Placentia Ave. about 3:30 a.m., Saturday, according to Costa Mesa police.

An anonymous caller from a pay telephone near Harbor Boulevard and Adams Avenue called authorities to say an unconscious man wearing only his underwear was in the parking lot.

Paramedics pronounced Wilson dead at the scene and investigators suspect he may have overdosed on drugs. However, an autopsy was inconclusive and the cause of death was pending toxicology results, police added.

Wilson was never a student in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District and had no ties to Estancia High School, according to police.

Investigators suspect the deceased may have been left in the school's parking lot because it is close to a fire station.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call Sgt. Ed Everett at (714) 754-5395 or Detective Carlos Diaz at (714) 754-5097.
