Long Beach Police Release New Video Of Fatal Robbery
LONG BEACH (CBS) — Long Beach police released new video Wednesday of a January 22 liquor store robbery and shooting death that shows a witness who previously had been blurred out in hopes of identifying him.
Fifty-three-year-old Sor Phouam, a Cambodian immigrant, was killed in a holdup at P&B Liquor/Junior Market at about 8 p.m. that Tuesday.
Two suspects came into the store, and one pulled a revolver on the clerk and shot him.
Police say a witness was robbed as well.
"We want to expand the reach of the investigation south to San Diego and north to Northern California," a LBPD spokeswoman said.
The county Board of Supervisors approved a $10,000 reward leading to a conviction in the case.
Anyone with more information is asked to call detectives Roger Zottneck or David Rios at (562) 570-7247.
