Beckham Denies Soliciting A Prostitute In LA Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- David Beckham denies soliciting a prostitute as part of his $25 million libel lawsuit against In Touch magazine and says he was with his ailing father in 2007 when one of the alleged trysts occurred.

Beckham recently countered the claims in court documents filed in Los Angeles federal court that he had sex with purported call girl Irma Nici five times. The suit, filed in December, accuses Delaware-based Bauer Publishing Co. and Nici of libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The Los Angeles Galaxy star said in his declaration that he couldn't have met Nici at a London hotel in September 2007 as the In Touch article states because he was visiting his ailing father.

He and his wife, Victoria, said earlier this month they are expecting their fourth child this summer.
