Authorities Hunt For Girl, 15, Who May Have Been Abducted

RUBIDOUX (CBS) —  Authorities believe a missing Rubidoux teen, a runaway, could also be the victim of an abduction and today asked for the public's help in trying to locate her.

Mary Belinda Bartolo, 15, called her grandmother around 2 Tuesday afternoon, saying she was being held against her will in a hotel room.

Her exact whereabouts remained a mystery, said sheriff's Sgt. Bob Marks.

The call to the grandmother was placed using a blocked telephone number, Marks said.

It was not immediately clear when the teenager ran away from home.

The Rubidoux girl could be with a 35-year-old man, Danny Romero, Marks said.

Mary is described as 5-foot-4, 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Ramirez is described as 5-foot-5, 180 pounds and sporting numerous tattoos.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff's Jurupa Valley station at (951) 955-2600.
